Soccer Trainers
and Coaches
In keeping with Soccer Centers philosophy
our soccer coaches are hired direct from the Netherlands with
degrees from the KNVB (Royal Dutch Soccer Association)
or C.I.O.S. (Central Insitute of Sports Education).
The C.I.O.S. Academy is a full time college where students
are taught all aspects of the soccer game, from sports
psychology to conditioning and from teaching young players
to professional game analysis. The Soccer Centers coach
is not only a coach, but a teacher, as well.
Each year 1200 aspiring coaches apply
to the C.I.O.S. Academy and only 20 get admitted and
out of that number only HALF will graduate from the
school. Some of its graduates are world-class coaches;
current South Korea's Head Coach Guus Hiddink is one
of them. All coaches go through 3600 hours of field
and class training at C.I.O.S.
Our soccer coaches are able to bring the right
curriculum to each team and be able to make the players
understand in a tactical manner the game they are playing
Remember, our coaches are teachers.

The Dutch
Training Method
Soccer
Centers training camps are based on the Dutch philosophy
of coaching, which is, founded on the premise that the
player's ball control and tactical development will
receive top priority in training. Players will be grouped
according to ability to make their experience challenging
and enjoyable.
This unique training course of training
is far beyond the static regimented training environment
that most players experience today. Technical and tactical
instruction will be conducted through the application
of small-sided games so that players will experience
a training environment that replicates the real game.
Under the watchful eye of our Dutch trained coaching
staff, players will begin to know WHAT to do,
WHEN to do it and HOW to do it at the
technical and tactical speed that is required in the
modern game.
Training exercises will be selected by
taking into account the age and level of ability of
these groups. Based on staff assessment and recommendation,
individuals may be moved to high level groups with parent
notification and approval.
Each camp is designed to help players
achieve their maximum potential through progressive
exercises that are age appropriate and individually
and developmentally challenging. The basic method of
training will focus on small side games, designed to
help players improve their personal level of performance
in the tactical, technical, and physiological areas
of individual development.

Training
Classes
| Power Shooting |
| The key to shooting with accuracy and power is teaching players the correct
biomechanical techniques to perform any type of kick. Players who are able to
execute these mechanical aspects consistently with both feet, will gain the
confidence to take risks, shoot with accuracy and maximum velocity under pressure. Many times a player has the physical strength to kick the ball hard BUT they
do not possess the proper technique. With the technique improved they can grow
into adult bodies and improve the shot.
|
| Power Shooting I |
| Teaches the player the basic technique of shooting. The mechanics of the shot
will be broken down. Ages 7-10 or 1-2 years experience in soccer.

| Power Shooting II |
| Will teach the player the proper technique of shooting. Will help build confidence
shooting under pressure in game type situations. The class will focus on high
pressure finishes and positioning in front of the goal. Ages 11-14 or -- 3-4
years experience in soccer.
[ check
schedule for next class ] |
| Power Shooting III |
| Will teach the player to shoot the ball under high pressure with the proper
technique. Ages 12 and up or 5-6 years experience in soccer.

| Dutch Fast Footwork Program |
Players will be systematically instructed how to move and feint with the ball
from a fundamental to match related training conditions. Feinting moves that
are executed when an opponent is next to you, in front of you and moves to go
around an opponent will be incorporated in this program. When completing this
course, players are then able to develop their own style and gain confidence
in their ball handling ability under pressure situations. The moves they will
be learning are not specific to a forward position but are used by all players
on all parts of the field.
|
| Fast Footwork I |
| Teaches the individual player the basic ball control skills that are needed
to build more confidence in controlling the ball. Ages 8-12 or a player who
has played 1-2 years of soccer.
[ check
schedule for next class ] |
| Fast Footwork II |
| This class will teach the player the basic/and advanced skills to build more
confidence under pressure. Ages 10 -14 -or a player that has played 3-4 years
of soccer.

| DTS Mini Ball Skills |
| This innovative class uses Size 2 mini balls in a series of ball handling exercises. The secondary skill acquired by the use of mini ball training is an increase in their physical and visual reaction speed. There is a story about Dutch international star, Johan Cruyff. When Cruyff was a boy in Holland, learning and developing his footballing skills, he used to train with a tennis ball. Cruyff mastered dribbling, juggling and other foot skills with the tennis ball. When he returned to a regulation size ball, he found it much easier to control. Well the same concept applies to the method of using the mini balls. When you incorporate a smaller or heavier ball into your weekly training regime, your regulation size ball will seem easier to handle!

| DTS Goalkeeping Academy |
A common sense approach to teaching all ages and abilities has been developed by Soccer Centers to provide quality instruction for the dedicated goalkeeper. Classes include technical and tactical development. We make it our priority to challenge the, mind as well as the body. This program provides an in depth look onto the finer points of goalkeeping fundamentals.
With the goalkeeper position being so demanding both physically and mentally, our goal is to exhort players to push themselves to the limit. This in turn will unleash each players strength and self confidence to perform confidently at the next level.
|

All aspects of the game will be covered. Players will be grouped by age and ability. Ages 8-13.
